The Language Exchange

Welcome to our Language Exchange! This blog is a platform for my students to publish their own texts in the languages I teach them. I think this might be a good way to motivate them to learn languages. Feel free to comment on the posts. And please be nice. (Every student has written an introductory post, usually accompanied by a photo. You can find them in the archives.)

Wonderful holidays ;-) by Laura

In my holidays I was at home most of the time. But I was at the Baltic Sea for a weekend. The weather in the holidays was not so good which was a pity. It was very boring ...
In a few days school begins unfortunately, but in two weeks we go on a school trip to Switzerland. We must go hiking there. I hate that. I would have prefered to go to Greece, but the decision was made for Switzerland.

My last holiday - by Patrick

On my last holiday I was in a village by the Baltic Sea. I was there for two weeks. With my parents and my brother I was one week on the island of Fehmarn. I stayed in Damp with my parents and my cousin the other week. We went to the beach and swam in the sea. We drove to an old Vikings' village and visited the houses. We also went to a fun park. One day we watched my brother windsurf. These two weeks were very funny.

My name is Peter and I'm 37 years old. I learn English for work. I had English in school, but I didn't understand it then. So I must learn English at 37 years now. I hope it will work out this time.

Anna (17) - English, Spanish and French

Me llamo Anna y tengo 17 años. Estudio tres idiomas: el inglés, el español y el francés. I don't know any French anymore because it's been two years since I spoke or wrote it. At the moment English is my favourite language but Spanish is interesting, too. Got a penfriend in England, it's awesome to talk with somebody who uses the language everyday. He tries to teach me and shows me my mistakes. English people are very polite and nice. They always answer your questions and try to help you if you have any problems. I like them a lot.

Holidays / Vacances / Vacaciones

At the moment not much is going on here as most of my students are on holiday. I'm sure they'll have a lot to tell once they're back. So please stick with us. Any comment is appreciated. Thanks.

Pour l'instant rien ne se passe ici comme la plupart de mes étudiants sont en vacances. Une fois qu'ils seront de retour, ils auront sûrement beaucoup à raconter. Restez donc avec nous ici, tout commentaire sera apprécié. Merci.
