The Language Exchange

Welcome to our Language Exchange! This blog is a platform for my students to publish their own texts in the languages I teach them. I think this might be a good way to motivate them to learn languages. Feel free to comment on the posts. And please be nice. (Every student has written an introductory post, usually accompanied by a photo. You can find them in the archives.)

On Holland - by Lynn (12)

When I think of Holland, I think of big loaves of cheese. I think of flat meadows with cows. I have never been to Holland. What comes to your mind when you think of Germany?

These are the thoughts I have when thinking about my country: flat and black//white cows on the meadows.

Thinking of Germany makes me think of beer!!! (Which I don't drink by the way), our Prince Bernhard, who came from Germany, not to mention, the deceased husband of our queen Beatrix, my friends living there, but also the I and II world war, Hitler, the disaster on the Love Parade recently, and the fact that it is my neighbouring country.

Each country has some good and bad to think about.

Greetings,

Monique
