The Language Exchange

Welcome to our Language Exchange! This blog is a platform for my students to publish their own texts in the languages I teach them. I think this might be a good way to motivate them to learn languages. Feel free to comment on the posts. And please be nice. (Every student has written an introductory post, usually accompanied by a photo. You can find them in the archives.)

Final exams - by Moritz

Hi, this is Moritz. Today I will tell you something about the A-levels (Abitur) I am going to take in a few weeks. I have to write exams in Maths, Politics and, of course, in English. In addition I will have to pass an oral examination in History.
In my major fields of studies, English and Politics, the exams will last 300 minutes, whereas in Maths I will be writing for 240 minutes until I have to hand in my test paper. Another important aspect is the "Zentralabitur", i. e. that everybody in Lower Saxony writes the same test papers at the same time. Everybody will get two different test papers and has 20 minutes to choose one of them. Then we will have to wait until June to get our results and our leaving certificate.
Going on our "Abi" trip to Lloret-de-Mar and celebrating "Abi" parties will help us a lot while waiting for the results.
