The Language Exchange

Welcome to our Language Exchange! This blog is a platform for my students to publish their own texts in the languages I teach them. I think this might be a good way to motivate them to learn languages. Feel free to comment on the posts. And please be nice. (Every student has written an introductory post, usually accompanied by a photo. You can find them in the archives.)

Things - by Lynn

To practise her English writing skills, Lynn composed a few random texts:

One of my favorite animals is the dog. It has very soft fur. I like dogs, but I haven't got one.

Our school is very big. There are about 1,000 people. In year 5 we were thirty-one people in our class. That's big too, isn't it?

In London, there are many sights. One of them is the London Eye. There are 32 pods on it. For one child it costs £ 5.75. Ten people can go into one pod.

Hi Lynn! Your english is really great.

I love dogs, too. I have one. It's a 4 years old poodle named Ringo.

Hello Irene,
Thanks for your comment. My favourite dog breed is the Bernese Mountain Dog. But it's too big for us. Maybe we will get a smaller one. We were at an animal shelter to look around, but we haven't found one yet.
Best wishes,
Lynn

Hello students,
Manuela suggested I visit your site and I've enjoyed reading your posts. I sent a postcard to Manuela through postcrossing. My user name is kiwicarol.

I was born in New Jersey, USA but after finishing university in 1978 I moved to New Zealand.

For the last 8 years I have lived and worked in South Korea. I'm an English teacher at a small university in Daejeon.

I like living in Daejeon because I can easily visit Seoul for a day.

Enjoy the snow. Winter is almost over!
Carol
